Beret Flash
A white shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall, bearing a red bend and lightning flash in saltire; all within a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) light blue inner border and a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow outer border. The beret flash was approved on 5 May 2010. It was amended to correct the unit designation on 19 July 2011. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-4-257)
Background Trimming
A white oval-shaped embroidered item 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width overall, bearing a red bend and lightning flash in saltire; all within a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) light blue inner border and a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow outer border. The background trimming was approved on 5 May 2010. It was amended to correct the unit designation on 19 July 2011. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-6-283)
